Obituary for Mrs. Margene Thomas Gravley Margene Thomas Gravley, 86, wife of William “Billy” L. Gravley, of 516 S. Spring Street, Walhalla, passed away, Thursday, December 27, 2018, at her home. A native of Oconee County, SC, Mrs. Gravley was the daughter of the late Henry Eugene and Margaret West Thomas. She worked in the textile industry and was a member of College Street Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gravley is survived by her daughter: Teresa Barber (Butch) of Easley; son: William Eugene “Gene” Gravley (Sandy) of Westminster; grandchildren: Nolan Merritt and Nathan Merritt (Rena) and Dustin Gravley (Emily); great-grandchildren: Ella, Maggie Kate, Walter and Charlotte Merritt and Beckett Gravley; sister: Rose Owens (Larry); and brother: Bill Thomas (Jo). In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gravley was preceded in death by a brother: John Thomas. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Sunday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672 or to College Street Baptist Church, Attn: Food Bank, PO Box 340, Walhalla, SC 29691. The family is at the home.
