Obituary for Mr. Ross Michael Smith Ross Michael Smith, 29, of 107 Randall Court, West Union, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at his home. A native of Fairbanks, AK, Mr. Smith was the son of Michael D. Smith and Carol A. Grocott. He was a true miracle child that was not expected to live past the age of five.

Mr. Smith was loved by all that knew him. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith is survived by his sister: Krystal Rose Vorster (Riaan) of Seneca; devoted caregiver: Catalina Galeno; and niece: Angelina Vorster. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his uncle: Richard Grocott; and grandparents: Robert and Claire Grocott.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home with visitation to follow. A reception will follow the service and visitation on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at the American Legion Building in Walhalla, SC. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the GHS Children’s Hospital, Greenville Health System Office of Philanthropy and Partnership, ATTN: LaTronica Harris, 300 E. McBee Ave.
