Obituary for Mr. Ronald Anthony Alveari Ronald Anthony Alveari, 70, husband of Carolina Fabiano Alveari, of Walhalla, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Greenville Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and friends. A native of Queens, NY, Mr. Alveari was the son of the late Dominick R. Alveari and Ruth M. Ouimet Alveari of Kahnawake Mohawk Territory, Canada. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, who was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge for his service as a paratrooper during the Vietnam War.

After returning from the war, Mr. Alveari worked as a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the Lewis E. Blanchett American Legion Post #124. In addition to his wife, Mr. Alveari is survived by his daughters: Ruth Alveari of Easley, SC and Anna Alveari and son-in-law: Jorge Lebron Ruiz of Denver, CO; son: Ronald Alveari of Queens, NY; brothers: Kenneth Alveari of Floral Park, NY, William Alveari of Silver City, NM and Richard Alveari of Floral Park, NY; sisters: Rose Marie Vitti of Staten Island, NY and Valerie Goldberg of Mundelin, IL; grandchildren: Anastasia, Frankie, Hector, Ronald, Paige, Helena and Charlotte; and great-granddaughter: Josephine.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Chauga Baptist Church, in Westminster, SC, with Military Rites. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests that you hold your loved ones tight every day.
