Obituary for Mr. Samuel Eugene Nicholson Samuel Eugene Nicholson, 90, husband of the late Sue Ann Belcher Nicholson, of 305 North Pine Street, Walhalla, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Oconee Memorial Hospital. A native of Mountain Rest, SC, Mr. Nicholson was the son of the late Evan and Ella Ramey Nicholson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII and later retired from Sangamo.

Mr. Nicholson was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church. Mr. Nicholson is survived by his son: Alan Wayne Nicholson of Walhalla, SC; brother: Bruce Nicholson of Greenville, SC; two grandchildren: Matthew Nicholson and Justin Nicholson and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Nicholson was preceded in death by his brothers: Harry Nicholson, Hoyt Nicholson and John Boyd Nicholson; and sisters: Hazel Clarke, Mae Nicholson and Ella Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Monte Vista Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Saturday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted.
