Obituary for Mr. Maurice Lem Head Maurice Lem Head, 88, husband of Louise Alexander Head, of Salem, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018, at GHS Cottingham Hospice House. A native of Pickens County, SC, Mr. Head was the son of the late Lemuel P. Head and Nona C. Head. He was the owner and operator of Head Lumber Company.

Mr. Head was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his wife, Mr. Head is survived by his granddaughter: Leigh Casey Roach of Salem, SC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Head was preceded in death by his daughter: Diane Head; infant son: Gregory Maurice Head; brothers: Ray McDaniel Head and Horace Head; and sisters: Dessie Craig, Evelyn Abercrombie, and Selma Talley.

A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Oconee Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, GHS Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672. The family is at their respective homes.
