Obituary for Mrs. Cheryl Ann Sample Smith Cheryl Ann Sample Smith, 62, wife of Donald “Don” Lee Smith, of 506 S. Catherine Street, Walhalla, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Lila Doyle Nursing Home. A native of Walhalla, SC, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Fredrick Sample and the late Phyllis Davis Sample. She worked as an assembler for Square D. Mrs. Smith enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and trips to Jocassee in the pontoon.

She loved everyone around her, especially her family and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons: Joshua Sample (Bethany) of Westminster, SC, Travis Smith (Carrie Anne Mann) of Walhalla, SC and Ryan Smith of Walhalla, SC; and three grandchildren: Makenzie, Makayla and Greyson. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615 or to The American Lung Association, 2030 North Church Place, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
