Obituary for Mrs. Lila Ruth Crenshaw Crowe Powell Lila Ruth Crenshaw Crowe Powell, 85, wife of the first late Douglas Leon Crowe and the second late Rev. Tirel Powell, of 929 Robinhood Drive, Walhalla, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Seneca Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Salem, SC, Mrs. Powell was the daughter of the late Mary Etta Alexander and Bush Whitner Crenshaw and step mother Mattie Grant Crenshaw.

She was a retired seamstress and also worked at Dairy Queen and Arby’s of Walhalla. Mrs. Powell was a member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church. Mrs. Powell is survived by her son: Mike Crowe of Walhalla, SC; treasured granddaughter: Selena Crowe of Walhalla, SC; three additional grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, parents and stepmother, Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her son: Wayne Crowe; sisters: Margie Towe, Sallie Hurdt and Esther Alexander; and brothers: Ernest Crenshaw and Leland Crenshaw. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Thursday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.
