Rex H. Smith, 93, of Bowling Green passed away September 27, 2018 at his residence. The Danville, Illinois native was born November 20, 1924 to the late Jerry Garnett and Adeline Reynolds Smith. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Irene I. (Weatherman) Smith and a son, Terry C. Smith.

Rex was an entrepreneur and owned several small businesses throughout his life. He was the manager of the Bowling Green Moose Lodge #356 for nearly 20 years. Survivors include his sons, Larry David Smith (Ellen) of Bristol, Indiana and Thomas Smith of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Wendy, Sarah, and Renee; three great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Douglas of Bowling Green; and several nieces of nephews.

Cremation was chosen with burial at a later date at Fairview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Arrangements have been entrusted to the J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel.
