Rhonda Lynn Pealer, 47, of West Burlington, died at 6:36 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. Born September 3, 1971, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Ronald LaRoy and Nancy Joann Mahoney Tisor. She worked as a Teacher’s Aid for the Burlington Community School District for 17 years.

She graduated from Burlington High School. Rhonda was of Lutheran faith and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed taking photos, watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies and was a dog and cat lover.

She was a Girl Scout Pack Leader. Rhonda loved her job and enjoyed working with her students. Survivors include her father, Ronald of Burlington; daughter, Courtney Pealer of Swedesburg, IA; brother, Thomas (Wendy Helmick) Tisor of Burlington; and sister, Evelyn Tisor of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Tisor, and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Prugh’s Chapel Downtown.

The memorial service for Rhonda will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Prugh’s Chapel with Reverend Ryan Cosgrove officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for P.A.W.S.

in Fort Madison and Relay for Life of Des Moines County.
