Richard’s Obituary Richard Bakker March 5, 1927 ~ November 21, 2018 Newburgh, NY Richard (Dick) Bakker, 91 of Newburgh, entered into rest on November 21, 2018. The son of the late Johannes and Pearl Bakker, he was born March 5, 1927 in Holland. Dick attended Washingtonville Schools, worked for NY Trap Rock Corporation and was a member of Local 825 Union, as well as serving as an Usher at Cornwall Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Grace (Pat), son Rich (Fran) Bakker, stepdaughter Holly (Paul) Schwartz; grandchildren: Matt (Sheila) Bakker, Jillian Bakker, Caraline Schwartz; great grandchildren: Averie, Riley, Maddie and Trevor, nieces Kathy Krom and Cheryl Coddington; and nephews George Krom, Derek Krom, and Billy Coddington. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Kenneth, sisters Greta Rhoades and Frederica King, and nephew Lonnie Krom. Funeral services were private at the convenience of the family.
