Richard “Dick” Warden Richard “Dick” Warden, of Sheboygan, was called home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Sunny Ridge. He was 96 years old. Dick was born February 10, 1922 in Sheboygan, the son of Marlin and Hilma (nee Burhop) Warden.

He attended school in Sheboygan, graduating from Sheboygan North High School in 1940. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army during WWII, stationed in Germany. Dick was a realtor in the Sheboygan area, having his own business for over 45 years, Dick Warden Realty. He retired in 2014 at the age of 91. Dick was a lifelong and active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where he had been involved with the choir, doing home visits with Pastoral Care Committee, served on the Congregational Fund Committee, and was an usher.

He also was an active member of the Lakeshore Kiwanis, where he was a former President. He was an intelligent, knowledgeable man who enjoyed reading. He looked forward to spending time with his family at the cottage at White Lake, where he had met his wife over 85 years ago.

Dick is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Mary, and their children: Marty (Rosemary) Warden of White Lake and their children: Andrea (Brian) Meyer, Carol Warden, Christina Warden (Jack) and Daniel Warden (fiancé Andrea); Cindy (Wayne) Ver Duin of Sheboygan Falls and their children: Megan and Kelly Ver Duin; and David (Kim) Warden of Sheboygan and their children Sara and Jenna Warden. He is further survived by 4 great-grandchildren: Max, Alex, Katarina and Jackson, niece Bonnie (John) Philp, special cousin Victor “Juddy” Berger, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his son Richard “Rick” Warden (Vietnam), sister Dorothy (Kenneth) Bergmeier and brother-in-law John Roth.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 4, 2018 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1019 N. 7th St. in Sheboygan. Pastor Brett Matz will officiate. Full military honors will follow the service.

The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 3:00-5:00 PM. Dick will be laid to rest at Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and Sunny Ridge (1st floor and 3rd floor) for their compassionate and loving care.
