Richard Forche, 82, was welcomed home on Thursday, September 20, 2018 surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in East Toledo at St. Charles Hospital on August 27, 1936 to Henry and Donna (McMahon) Forche. He was a small parts inspector at the Perrysburg Chrysler Plant and retired after 30 years of service in 1998.

He enjoyed helping clients and his wise counsel solved the most difficult situations. Richard was an avid sports fan who loyally followed the Detroit Tigers and the Toledo Mud Hens. He enjoyed the game so much he coached and was also a past President of the Toledo Umpires Association.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years attaining the rank of Third Degree, served as a back-up volunteer for Mobile Meals and was a generous contributor to many charities. A beloved story-teller, whether it was fact, fiction or meant for a good laugh, the listener walked away smiling and feeling good inside. We will miss his stories of family we were not privileged to meet and historical events that took place in his own life or the life of a family member.
Richard is survived by his wife, Nora Cannon Forche; children, Sharon (Vic) Wilcik, Sue (Dan) Kaseman and Rick Forche; grandchildren, Sharon (Johnny) Munoz and Danny (Alyssa) Kaseman; great-grandchildren, Johnny Munoz, Danny Munoz and Lainey Kaseman. Step-children, Doug Louden, Michael (Angela) Cannon and Donna (Brett) Holubik; step-grandchildren, Rachel (Stephen) Thompson, Stephanie (Derek) Nieto, Ross Holubik and Rhett Holubik. Step-great grandchildren, Faith Sechrest, Isabella Wilson, Helayna Nieto, Isaiah Sechrest, Aubree Nieto, Trinity Sechrest, Erik Thompson, Leigha Thompson and Joshua Thompson.
He is also survived by his sister, Shirley (Walter) Keil. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-daughter, Cindy Louden Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) in Toledo on Monday from 2- 8 pm.
Visitation will continue at Light of Christ Catholic Church 154 Church St. Deerfield Michigan 49238 on Tuesday after 10 am where the funeral mass will be held at 11 am. Interment will be in Deerfield Cemetery. Heartfelt thanks to his doctors, nurses and caregivers for their compassion and care.
