Richard’s Obituary Richard G. “Dick” Lantz, Sr., age 95, of East Berlin, formerly of Mechanicsburg passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Vibra Life. He was born May 16, 1923 to Kenneth H. Lantz, Sr. and Violet (Bretz) Lantz of West Fairview. Dick graduated from Lemoyne High School in 1939.

Dick was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg since 1970. He worked for the Patriot News, Harrisburg and the Pennsylvania Railroad, Enola. He served in the Fifth Air Force in the South Pacific as a radio operator for three years while in the military during WWII.

In 1958, he Joined IBM in Mechanicsburg from 1958 until retirement in 1987 as a Manager and Sr. Buyer. Dick’s interests included fishing in Canada, traveling, word puzzles, dinning out and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are his wife of 18 years, Nina (Daubert) Lantz; son Richard G. Lantz, Jr. of Mechanicsburg; daughter, Joyce Hoffman (Charles) of Evergreen, CO; two granddaughters, Melissa Frank of Mt.

Holly Springs and Jennifer Parks of Baltimore, MD and four great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Leah (Feister) Lantz after 57 years of Marriage in 1998, and his two brothers Philip R. Lantz and Kenneth H. Lantz, Jr. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 17, 2019 at Hope United Methodist Church, 6260 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg. Viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Burial will take place at Rolling Green Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church or Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, 117 Country Club Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
