Richard Henry Wohlleber, born October 5, 1931, to Margaret and Henry Wohlleber, died on October 14, 2018. He married the love of his life, Nancy Shirza, on February 14, 1955. Together they raised and were the loving parents of their four children, Tom (Judy), Joe (Mary), Dan (Sue Mewbourn), and Susan Kurandt.

He graduated from UW-Madison, where he played football for the Badgers, and served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Infantry, stationed in Korea, during 1955-1957, before starting his… Read More » career with Fairmont Foods and Kemp’s Dairy Company. He loved spending time at the cottage in Three Lakes, on Big Fork Lake, with Nancy and his family; attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities; and refereeing high school football. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Margaret, brother Jerry Wohlleber, and wife, Nancy Wohlleber.

Those remembering him include his children; grandchildren Megan and Amy Wohlleber; Ben (Jordan), Andy and Cathryn Wohlleber; Max and Maggie Wohlleber; and Karl (Katy) Kurandt; great grandchildren RJ and Aliyah; and sister-in-law, Joan Mees. A memorial service will be held on November 9th, 2018 at 11:30am at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River, WI. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Lions Club are appreciated by the family.
