Richard L. Casler, 80, of 1120 Market St., Apt. 202, Meadville, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, surrounded by his family, where he had been a resident for two years. Richard was born in Meadville, on April 22, 1938.

On June 8, 1984 Richard married Linda Cornell; she survives. As a child, Richard attended Union City Church of the Nazarene and later Church of the Nazarene in Meadville. He also drove a taxi for the former Lafayette Cab Company for eight years. Richard was a member of the US Army. He loved to play cards with family and friends and also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, listening to old country music, watching wrestling as well as old Western movies on television.

In addition to his wife, Linda, of 34 years, Richard is survived by three children Robert Schweter (Jennifer) of South Carolina, Amy Schweter Barksdale (Jeffrey) of Meadville, Rev. Kenneth Schweter (Christina) of Confluence, nine grandchildren Christian Defrancesco, Caleb Schweter, Tomera Schweter, Ryder Schweter, Keiara Schweter, Ayden Schweter, Malachi Schweter, Danielle Schweter, and Andrew Schweter. Richard was preceded in death by his mother and step father Addie (Anthony) and LeRoy Smith.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 2-4 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. , 404 CHESTNUT ST. , MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 PM with his son, Rev.

Kenneth Schweter, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Benevolent Fund of Crawford County Care Center, 20881 St. Hwy. 198, Saegertown, PA 16433.
