Obituary for Richard L. Fortna Richard D. Fortna, 87, of Lebanon died Sunday, December 9, 2018 in his residence. Born in Lebanon on October 17, 1931, he was the son of the late Mark and Eva Loose Fortna. He retired after 41 years as a nursing assistant at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

Richard was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea and a 1949 graduate of Lebanon High School. He was a member of the Steitztown Hunting Club, an avid baseball player with the Jonestown and Lebanon Twilight League, and a sports enthusiast. Surviving is his significant other Rosalie F. Beard of Lebanon, a daughter Cheryl L. wife of Kevin Yeiser of Richland, a son David S. husband of Cathy Fortna of Lebanon, step-son Thomas M. Beard of Baltimore, MD, step-daughters Lori wife of Richard Haas of Lebanon, Lisa wife of Randy McKillop of Palmyra, a brother Mark L. Fortna, Jr. of Annville, a sister Lucille Stoddard of New Hampshire, three grandchildren Lindsey Hibshman, Justin Yeiser, Scot Fortna, four step-grandchildren Nathan and Nicole McKillop, and Amanda and Caitlin Beard, and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 12 Noon at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10-12 Noon at the funeral home.
