Richard V. Pedersen, age 51, of Wonder Lake, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Centegra Hospital-McHenry. He was born August 31, 1966 in Greeley, Colorado to Lars C. and Joan J. (Solinski) Pedersen. On October 1, 2009, he married Julie Holtz in Woodstock, IL.

Raised and educated in Chicago, Richard lived in Woodstock before residing in Wonder Lake for the past 8 years. He was employed by Mathews Co. in Crystal Lake for almost 9 years. His family meant everything to him,… Read More » and he was happiest when he was able to spend time with them.

Survivors include his wife, Julie; four stepchildren, Zachary Vollmer, John Holtz, Joshua Holtz and Emma Holtz; his dear granddaughter, Leanna Vollmer; his mother, Joan Pedersen; his sister, Candise Bentley; his brother, Rick Joseph (Mary) Pedersen; many nieces & nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lars, in 2010; and by his grandparents. Friends are invited to visit with his family at an informal memorial gathering from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050.
