Peter F. Schock, age 92, of Ringwood, passed away on June 6, 2018, at his home. He was born to Joseph and Anna (Kneipp) Schock on October 19, 1925 in Yugoslavia. On February 7, 1948, he was united in marriage to Magdalena Herzog and together, the couple emigrated to the United States in 1955 through the Port of New York before settling in Chicago.

A… Read More » true nature lover and natural green thumb, Peter grew apple and pear trees, cultivated a beautiful vegetable garden, and made his own wine. He worked hard to raise his children and was happiest when surrounded by family.

He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Magdalena; his sons, Rudy (Ann) Schock, Gary (Helene) Schock, Frank (Christa) Schock, and Joseph (Heidi) Schock; a granddaughter, Dina (Robert) Anderson; four grandsons, Eric, Paul, David, and Frank Schock; and four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Henry, and Evelyn; a sister, Johanna; and a brother, Helmut. In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his siblings, Josef and Barbara. Friends and neighbors are invited to visit with Peter’s family from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Rd.

, McHenry, IL. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the Father Tranel Room until the time of the funeral Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5006 E Wonder Lake Rd, Wonder Lake, IL. Interment will be at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery.
