Richard A. Dietz, age 66, of Fox Lake, passed away on September 11, 2018 at Independence Grove. He was born on July 6, 1952 to Raymond and Dorothy (Wicks) Dietz in Waukegan. Formerly of Ingleside, Richard was an avid outdoorsman who worked as an arborist for Asplundh Tree Company for 47 years.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; his children, Jason (Dawn) Dietz, Jessie (Bill) Lloyd, Shelly (Aaron) Salzman; his grandchildren, Brianna, Delanie, Sophia, Audrey, Will, Emma; and his… Read More » siblings, Joe (Judy) Dietz and Evelyn (Tom) Wells. Richard was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Ct, Round Lake, IL 60073.

Visitation will resume the September 15, 2018 at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. We will then leave in procession to the 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 114 Lincoln Ave, Round Lake, IL 60073. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery. Richard’s family suggests memorials to the Open Arms Mission at P.O. Box 79, Antioch, IL 60002.
