Rita Mary Howard, 82, of Bowling Green entered into rest Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at The Medical Center. Rita was born November 12, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents Angelo and Philomena Custode.

Rita was retired from the State of Kentucky and a devoted member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rita volunteered with CASA of Southern Kentucky and was a member of the Holy Spirit Quilting group. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play various team sports and cooking and baking for the church community.

Rita was known for her passion of cooking Italian food, baking and her love of fashion. Rita is survived by three daughters Margaret Howard Miller (Hugh) of Elizabethtown, KY, Linda Howard Murphy (Jason) and Barbara Howard Carter (Brent) both of Bowling Green. Six precious grandchildren Noah, Logan, Ryan, Mackenzie, Braden and Ann-Thomas, four sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday, November 5, 2018 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at 7:30 pm at the church and visitation on Tuesday 10:00 am until time of mass. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Flower arrangements may be sent to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
