James Thomas Marcum, 81, of Bowling Green, passed away, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born August 16, 1937 in Louisville, KY to the late James Alvin and Mary Lucille (Smith) Marcum, JR. Mr. Marcum was a self-employed contractor, a member of First Baptist Church, avid gardener, and he loved the outdoors.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James Jeffrey Marcum and his beautiful huskie, “Baby Puppy”. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Joy Matthews Marcum. Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green.

J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Humane Society of Bowling Green “In Memory of his companion of 16 years “Baby Puppy”.
