Virginia Mae Long, 71, of Bowling Green, passed away, Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Genesis Colonial Manor in Bowling Green. She was born February 18, 1947 in Butler County, KY to the late Janiel Isom and Earline (Gray) Cardwell. Virginia was retired seamstress/mechanic for Fruit of Loom and an avid Dale Earnhardt, SR and JR.

fan. Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Coeta Petty. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Larry Long, son, Roy (Christy) Long and daughter, Tina (Steve) Hanes, brothers, Billy Cardwell, Morris Cardwell, George Cardwell, E.W. Cardwell, & Robert Cardwell, and sisters, Juanita Garrison and Beatrice Watts.

Virginia was blessed with four grandchildren, Nathan Long, Eric (Brandi) Long, Nick Long, and Heather Hanes. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel , with Dwayne Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green.

Friends may visit with Virginia’s family from 4-8PM, Tuesday and 9AM until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
