James Franklin “Round Man” Walker, JR, 77, of Smiths Grove, passed away, Saturday, December 01, 2018 at The Medical Center @ Bowling Green. He was born June 7, 1941 in Barren County, KY to the late James Franklin, SR. and Bessie Walker.

He attended Glendale Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver. Round Man was an avid fisher and love working on small engines. Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Lorene (McCawley) Walker and one brother, Roy Walker.

Survivors include two sons, Danny York and Billy (Kathy) Walker, sisters, Mildred Jines and Evie Emitt, brothers, Carl Walker, David Walker, and Wesley Walker. Round Man was blessed with three grandchildren, Sharlie Rich, Tisha Combs, and Joseph Combs, and seven great grandchildren, Blake Rich, Nathan Reeder, Anthony Reeder, James Rich, Dakota Rich, Maranda Riddle, and Jordan Combs. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 3, 2018 at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel, with Tim Hollan officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit with Round Man’s family from 1-8PM, Sunday and 9 AM until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
