Michael Kirby Thornton, 67, of Brownsville, formerly of Bowling Green, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Edmonson Healthcare in Brownsville. He was born July 29, 1951 to the late Robert and Juanita Meredith Thornton. Michael was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tabitha Lynn Thornton. Survivors include one sister, Jana Thornton of Bowling Green. Several cousins and friends also survive.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday January 26, 2019 at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 1195 Duncan Road Drake, KY. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church. J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
