Opal May (Harris) Meredith, 78, of Bowling Green passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 with her children at her side at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Williamsville, Illinois native was born January 30, 1940 to the late Haskell and Gertie May (Lindsey) Harris. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Mitchell Meredith and brothers, Robert Harris and Larry Harris.

Opal was a member and attended Bethany Baptist Church and worked as a beautician. She loved her children and grandchildren and loved her social media, country music, playing Farmtown, UK Basketball, and a proud Republican. Survivors include her son, Michael Meredith (Mary); daughter, Michele Ayers (Wade); grandchildren, Ashley, Allison, Alexis, and Aiden Ayers; sisters, Mary Ann Orme (Steve), Debbie Heaton (Dave), and Judy Zillion (Richard); special sister-in-law, Carol Harris; lifelong friend Judy Graham; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Bethany Community Cemetery in Alvaton. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Aiden Ayers Medical Fund, 877 Greenhill Road, Bowling Green, KY 42103.
