Robert Andrew Angermeier, 90, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Pine Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center. Bob was born August 26, 1928 in Evansville to the late William Joseph and Catherine B. (Hummel) Angermeier. He was a 1946 graduate of FJ Reitz High School; the 1952 Vanderburgh County 4-H Corn King; he enjoyed playing cards, cooking burgoo, wine making, re-finishing furniture, traveling and camping.

Bob retired from PPG in 1992 and also was a farmer. He was a member of the Southern Indiana Antique Machine Club, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vanderburgh County and a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving Bob are his wife of 62 years, Nancy (Mason) Angermeier; daughters, Barbara L. Angermeier and Margaret R. Angermeier and two sons, Robert J. Angermeier and Paul A. Angermeier, all of Evansville; two sisters-in-law, Martina Angermeier and Doris Jean Angermeier; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine A. Schmitt, along with brothers, William E. and Charles G. Angermeier. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vanderburgh County, Rev. Eugene Schroeder officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites. Friends may visit with the family from 2 PM until 7 PM on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 PM. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 AM until service time on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vanderburgh County.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Heritage Hospice.
