Obituary for Robert A. Tomlinson Robert A. Tomlinson of Eagle passed away June 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Bob will be missed for his gentle kind spirit and willingness to always lend a hand to help others. Bob was born September 30, 1935 in Eagle to the late AC and Hilda (Pohl) Tomlinson.
He graduated from Grand Ledge High School Class of 1953 and went on to serve his country in the United State Army. After returning home, Bob continued operating his family’s dairy farm until retiring 20 years ago. He was a longtime volunteer at the Grand Ledge Senior Center, enjoyed bird watching and was a great cook.
Bob’s family enjoyed and looked forward to his French silk and apple pies. Bob also enjoyed working with his son Mike in his woodworking and craft business and spending time with his grandkids. Bob is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Nancy Jean (Legal); children, Deborah Tomlinson, Michael (Karen), Rich (Molly) and Jeff (Yseult); grandchildren, Emma, Sarah, Nate, Ben and Noelle; sisters, Annabelle Esch and Marie Tomlinson along with several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 4, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Grand Ledge by The Reverend Fr. James Eisele. Interment will follow at North Eagle Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3-7:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service and Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge and Monday at the church from 10-11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Michael Catholic Church 345 Edwards Street, Grand Ledge, Michigan 48837.
