Sandra Lee Free, 78, of Lansing, MI, passed away July 25, 2018. She was born October 9, 1939 in Bath, MI, daughter of George and Hattie (Rutter) Provo. Sandra was retired from Dean Transportation, attended Immanuel Community Reformed Church; enjoyed golfing, crafting, spending time with her grandchildren, volunteered with Special Olympics, and loved her animals.

She is survived by her children: Douglas (Susan) Lenon, David (Gina) Lenon, Darrin (Stacey) Lenon, Carrie (John) Blanck, Kimberly… Read More » (Karl Dersch) Carpenter, and Stacey (Brad) Tipton; 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Barbara Tallman, Jessica (Michael) Bridges; also 6 siblings from her biological father. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell, grandsons Paul Carpenter IV and Kody Lenon, great granddaughter Kylie Childress and sister Marilyn White. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Community Reformed Church, 3200 Delta River Drive, Lansing, MI 48906, with Pastor Richard Heusinkveld officiating.

Visitation one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Special Olympics Michigan, Ingham and Eaton Office, 2901 Wabash St., Lansing, MI 48910 or Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio St., Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611, in memory of Sandra Free. The family is being served by the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.
