OBITUARY Robert Allen Ridenour May 3, 1928 – July 11, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Robert Allen Ridenour of Coshocton passed away on July 11th, 2018 at the Morrison House in Zanesville following a brief illness. Born May 3, 1928, in West Lafayette, he was the son of the late Otto Samuel and Florence (Crile) Ridenour. He was a graduate of West Lafayette High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

On May 17, 1953, he was married to the former Mary Lou Cline. Bob lived in Coshocton almost all of his life and worked for many years at the former General Electric plant on South Second Street. He was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church and was active in the Coshocton Elks Lodge.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and served as secretary for the Coshocton City Council and was a member of the city’s Zoning Board of Appeals. A devoted family man, Bob for years enjoyed fishing trips with Coshocton-area friends and summer vacations to North Carolina’s Outer Banks, where he would spend time with family and many friends he and his wife had made through the years. In more recent years, Bob and Mary Lou would rent large houses on the ocean where family from all over the U.S. would gather for a week of fun.

Besides his wife of 65 years, he leaves three daughters: Karen (Nolan) Weidner of Manlius, NY; Susie (Joe) Genet of Tulsa, Okla. ; and Debbie (John) Ingell of Highlands Ranch, Colo. ; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Jack and Mary West; and a twin brother: Roger Ridenour. Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 5-7 pm. A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Coshocton, on Saturday, Aug.

11, 2018 at 11 am with Pastor Keith Peachey officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 422 Walnut St. Coshocton, OH 43812.
