Bob was born in Columbiaville to the late Edward and Ruth (Baker) Vanderlip. He married Mary Jane Rumble on November 19, 1960 in Deckerville.

Bob retired as a machinist in the auto industry. He enjoyed crafting, computers and he could fix anything. Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Jane Vanderlip; four children, Douglas (Brenda) Vanderlip, Teresa (William) Hartman, Kevin Vanderlip and Jeremy Vanderlip; six grandchildren, Eleanore Vanderlip, Holly DeGroat, Michael (Stephanie) Hartman, Paul (Michelle) Hartman, Eric Vanderlip and Anthony (Stacey Duncan) Hartman; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Faye Combs; one brother, Joseph (Joann) Vanderlip; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dwight Vanderlip on June 2, 2013. Private Family Services will be held at a later date. Friends may share an online condolence at www.
