Robert Bob O Lieber , October 29, 1930 — September 18, 2018

Raise your glass to a life well lived! Robert “Bob” O. Lieber, age 87, of Neenah, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at his home. He was born October 29, 1930.

Bob was a life-long resident of Neenah. He graduated from Neenah High School in 1948. He went on to graduate from Ripon College in 1952.

It was at Ripon where he met Wilma, his bride of 66 years. Bob served his country as First Lieutenant in the United States Army in Korea during 1953. Bob returned to Neenah where he worked in the family business, Lieber Lumber Company.

Bob went on to run other businesses in the valley. Bob loved life. He loved to travel.

He enjoyed food, wine and the company of friends. He stayed active by golfing, swimming, and taking Sunday drives. He showed his civic pride by participating in the Neenah Club.

He selflessly gave his time and talent to the church by overseeing a major construction/renovation project in the 1990s. As a devoted Green Bay Packers Fan, he experienced first-hand Super Bowl I and the iconic “Ice Bowl” as well as numerous games at Lambeau Field. His passion was photography.

He was thoughtful, kind, loving and honest, always fun to be around. He will be deeply missed. However, all his friends and family take comfort in knowing Bob is with the Lord.

Bob is lovingly survived by his wife Wilma; three children: Barbara Mc Elwaine, Thomas (Felissa), Marcia (Randy) Jones; and five grandchildren: Evan Jones, Robert and Mark Mc Elwaine, Corbin and Makenna Lieber. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at ST. MARK LUTHERAN CHURCH, 140 S. Green Bay Road, Neenah, WI 54956, with Rev.

Robert Wilkinson officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Full military honors will be performed by the Neenah-Menasha Honor Guard at the burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.

In leu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or to your favorite animal shelter or humane society. Bob’s family wishes to thank ThedaCare at Home and the VNA in the Valley for the excellent care he received.
