Robert “Bob” R. Richey, 89, of New Franklin, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 20, 2018. Bob was a member of Barberton First Church of Christ, where he was a faithful servant serving as an elder-deacon, trustee, bible school superintendent, teacher and sometimes janitor. He was employed by Acme working from 1957 to 1993, retiring as a meat cutter.

Bob had a passion for antiques and vintage cars, especially his 1931 Model A.He and his wife, Loretta travelled the Continental United States, including Alaska and Hawaii and also Jerusalem. “Be still my soul, the waves and winds still know His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below”. Preceded in death by his parents and son, Bob; survived by his wife of 65 years, Loretta (Roach) Richey; children, Patricia (Gary) Cooper and Dan Richey; grandchildren, Angela (Joe) Padilla, Amanda Cooper and Andrea (Mitchell) Haynes; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Jacob Padilla and Alexis and Taylor Haynes; along with numerous cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank City Hospital CCU, Hospice Care, Cleveland Clinic General Hospital and VNS Hospice for such great care Bob received. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 25th at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave, Barberton 44203 with Russ Shreiner officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Bob’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 24th from 5 to 8 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Barberton First Church of Christ, 552 Harvard Ave. , Barberton, Ohio 44203.
