Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 5-7 P.M. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Graveside Services with Military Honors will take place at Ft.

Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 10:15 A.M. with Pastor Ronnie Lynn officiating. Robert was born in Alice, Texas on October 6, 1937 to Robert and Rene (Kownslar) Lynn. He proudly served in the U.S. Airforce for eight years.

After serving in the military, Robert worked as a safety technician in the Oil Industry for forty years, and retired from Guadalupe County Road and Bridge in 2000. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dennis Lynn and Jerry Lynn, grandson, Jacob Robert Buckalew, and his daughter Lesia Stringer. Survivors include his loving wife Mary Lou Lowery Lynn; daughters Reka Lynn, Stacie Schwarz and husband Donald and Debbie Boren; sons, David Buckalew and wife Barbara, and Thomas (Bodie) Buckalew; brother, Ronnie Lynn and wife Mary Lou; sister-in-law, Lynda Lively; brothers-in-law, Glenn Lowery and wife Kathy, Reece Lowery, Ray Lowery and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Kacey Workman, Kasie (Jake) Duckworth, Ethan (Stormey) Schwarz, Brandi (Russtin) Miller, Dalton Schwarz, Christopher (Arynn) Buckalew-McKenzie , Sonja (Nick) Fundling, Jessica (Dustin) Jameson, SSG Brandon (SamiJo) Buckalew, Rob Burris, Jessica (Doug) Scott, Maggie Buckalew, SGT Zachary Buckalew, Alex Buckalew, Eli Buckalew, and Dwight (Misty) Sippola; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Thomas Buckalew, Kacey Workman, Ethan Schwarz, Dalton Schwarz, Stuart Lynn, Russtin Miller, Alexander Buckalew, SSG Brandon Buckalew, Kasie Duckworth, and Brandi Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
