Robert Buren Gist, 90, of South Haven, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Bronson Hospital in South Haven. He was born August 3, 1927 to Clarence and Maggie (Moorland) Gist in Spruce Pine, Alabama. Robert worked as a foreman at Sherman Dairy in South Haven and MacDonald Dairy in Benton Harbor for many years before retiring in 1998.

He loved to fish, was a skilled wood worker, and loved his dog, Buddy. He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Patsy Gist and eight siblings. Robert is survived by his son – Dennis (Diane) Gist of South Haven.

Grandson – Derron (Lari) Gist of South Haven. Great Granddaughter – Adeline Gist. Favorite niece – Janice (Bruce) Niesman.

Step son – Brian (Janine) McGill of Bloomington, Illinois. Step grandchildren – Liam and Bailey. Services are not scheduled at this time.
