Robert Dale Brown, Age 92, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away early Wednesday Morning, September 5, 2018 at the Ohio Veteran’s Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was born October 25, 1925 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of Leroy Franklin & Olive (Riggin) Brown. On June 10, 1950, he married Mary Sharp Brown, who passed away on February 27, 2015.

They had been married for almost 65 years. A 1943 graduate of Wilmington High School, Robert was an honorably discharged US Navy Veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. A member of the Bible Baptist Church Wilmington, he retired from the Cincinnati Milacron – Wilmington Plant after 28 years of service.

Surviving are his son- Dale (Jennie) Brown of Wilmington; 4 grandchildren- Andrew Brown, Alexandria, VA, Emily Brown, Columbus, OH, Julie (Keet) Bailey, Columbus, and Veronica Brown, Wilmington; and a great-granddaughter- Nova Bailey. In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by his great-grandson- Kemper Bailey; two sisters- Elaine Fortune and Jean Riley and 2 brothers- Max Brown and Wayne Edward Brown. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Sugar Grove Cemetery, 297 West Truesdell Street, Wilmington with Pastor Everett Miller officiating.

Please enter the cemetery using the West Gate off of Truesdell Street. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington has been entrusted with the arrangements. Contributions in Robert’s memory may be made to the Georgetown Veterans Home Activity Fund, 2003 Veterans Blvd, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
