Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of Arlene (Benway) Miozza of Cranston and also was a stepson of Anita Miozza of Cranston and the late Ralph Miozza and devoted father of Gina M. Miozza of Cranston. Robert was an auto mechanic in the auto industry for many years and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Besides his mother and daughter, he was the loving grandfather of Alani Casiano and Bella Orellana and dear brother of Michael Miozza, Ralph Miozza, Jr. and Charlene Sherman all of Cranston and Jeanne LeClair of North Scituate.
