Dorothy N. (Angeli) Stravato 88, of Providence, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis R. Stravato. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Damiano and Mary (Palombo) Angeli.

Dorothy was employed by the City of Providence, Mayor’s Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse for seventeen years before her retirement. After her retirement she cared for her husband until the time of his death. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Family was her highest priority. Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Louis D. Stravato, PPD, Ret. of Providence, Thomas J. Stravato and his spouse Steven Majeika of Westerly, and Brenda M. Pacheco of Providence.

She was the cherished grandmother of Louis P. Stravato, Anthony M. Stravato, Evan P. Pacheco, and the great-grandmother of Zachery E. Shaker-Stravato. Dorothy was the sister of the late Pasco and Joseph Angeli. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence.

Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Amedisys Foundation, c/o Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd. , East Providence, RI 02914.
