90, of North Providence, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Fatima Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. McDonnell. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was a daughter of the late Gary and Ida (Corsetti) Simone.

Doris worked as a cosmetic supervisor for Germain Monteil for many years before retiring. She is survived by her loving sister, Gloria McElroy; dear nieces Karen Zarrella (Joseph) and Claudia Hoffman (Stuart); cherished great-nephew Joseph Gary Zarrella. She is also survived by her two dear friends Sam Phipps-Moore and Robin Moore.

Doris was predeceased by her brother Frank Simone. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
