Robert Emil Lantz (Bert), aged 55, died August 25, 2018, in Falls Church, Virginia. Born June 25, 1963, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Judith H. and the late Louis J. Lantz of Lock Haven. Bert grew up with his family in Brooklyn, NY, and Lock Haven, PA, and graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1981.

Upon graduation from Lock Haven University in 1985, Bert was recruited to the Washington, DC, area as a computer programmer. There he launched a 33-year career in his field, advancing through a succession of companies. He was most recently Vice President of Capture Management for a healthcare information technology consulting firm in Virginia.

He is survived by his mother, Judith H. Lantz, of Lock Haven, PA; his twin brother, Ralph Lantz, of Wyomissing, PA; his older sister, Teresa Lantz, of Fairbanks, AK; his younger sister, Sarah Lantz Copeland, of Bloomfield, NJ; and his niece, Mackenzie Lantz (daughter of Ralph), of Wyomissing, PA. In addition to his immediate family, he had a wonderful extended family including his uncle, Burritt Haag, of Leeds, MA, and his family; and his aunt, Theresa Stoy, of Lock Haven, PA, and her family. He had many, many people who called him friend.

He was a bigger-than-life man, with a kind and generous nature, and a laugh that we will remember forever. We will miss him more than we can say. A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.
