Obituary for Robert J. Blatney Robert J. Blatney, 62, of Mt. Pleasant died Saturday December 8 2018 at the Jefferson Hospital. He was born February 10, 1956 in Greensburg; he is the son of Joseph J. and Isabel (MacIntosh) Blatney, of Irwin.
Prior to his retirement he was employed as a relay technician for West Penn Power. Robert earned a Civil Engineering Degree for Penn State University. He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the Air Force.
In addition to his parents he is survived by three brothers David A. Blatney and his wife, Leslie, of Mt. Pleasant, Brian K. Blatney, of Uniontown, OH, Duane E. Blatney and his wife, Lori, of North Huntingdon; nieces and nephews Shane, Chad, Brianne and Brooke Blatney. Friends will be received 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ott Funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin at which time a memorial service will take place.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 320 Bilmar Drive Pittsburgh Pa 15205.
