Robert L. Ray (77) of Ashtabula passed away on Feb. 21, 2019 at the Saybrook Landing. Born June 28, 1941 in Conneaut Ohio he was the son of Louis and Mary (Muchiarone) Ray.

Bob graduated from St. John High School class of 1959 and was a retired partner and operator of Ray Roofing. He was a member of Roofers Union 44. Mr. Ray did things his OWN Way.

He was skilled craftsman enjoying remodeling, entertaining family and cooking, specifically spaghetti and meatballs with his secret recipe that he took to his grave. He enjoyed many sports including basketball, bowling, golf, billiards and motorcycles. Bob was a member of the Brothers and Friends Band and the Wolves Club.

Survivors include his wife Carol Ray , son Mark Ray , daughter Krissy (Mark) Paolillo , grandchildren Kaela , Joey, Tori, and Bobby , great grandchildren Trinity, Eliana, Braeden and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents brothers Kenny, Gary and sister Luann. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday Feb 25 at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mother of Sorrows Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 5 P.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital .
