Obituary for Robert “Rob” Perry Neese VARDAMAN—Robert “Rob” Neese, 59, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Born April 24, 1959 in Vardaman, MS, he was the son of the late Perry Neese and the late Ann White Neese. Rob was a 1978 graduate of Calhoun City High School, a member of New Providence Baptist Church, and served in the United States Army.
He served not only his country, but he proudly served his community as well. Rob was a self-employed mechanic by trade, but his heart was dedicated to being a true public servant. Anything that would help the community, he was there.
He assisted the Calhoun County Sheriffs Department, and also the Vardaman and Derma Police Departments. He was also a member of the Vardaman Fire Department. He assisted with the Emergency Management team, helped recommend and train others for the police and fire departments.
He also assisted veterans in dealing with the VA on their benefits. Rob was just a true friend to so many. He would give the shirt off his back and not expect anything in return.
He went above and beyond to help the community and its people in any way he could. He will be deeply missed, but the community will always be grateful for his service. Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Neese family.
