Obituary for Roberta Ellsworth (Galeski) Roberta Galeski Ellsworth, 79, of Lowville, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 28, 2018. She was born in North East on May 13, 1938 a daughter of the late Jean M. Terrell Galeski Gift and John Galeski. Roberta worked at Grant’s, the Downtowner Motel and Restaurant, the Ramada Inn, Jiffy’s, and the Harvest Inn.

Most recently she worked at the Travel Center of America. She was a member of Lowville United Methodist Church where she sang on the Praise Team and was a member of the Bible Study Group. She belonged to the United Methodist Women and enjoyed playing keyboard, organ, crocheting, sewing, canning vegetables, and bowling.

The most important thing in her life was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ellsworth; two grandchildren, Jessie Groves and Trisha Kinney Pelinsky; her biological father, Richard Miller; her stepfather, Victor Gift; two brothers, Leonard and Edward Galeski; and her niece, Mary Jean Hillman. Survivors include two sons, Timothy Ellsworth and Michael Ellsworth and his fiancé, Carrie Applequist, all of Wattsburg; four daughters, Diana Kinney and her husband, Charles, of Harborcreek, Tammy Ellsworth and her significant other, Jerry Dore, of Wattsburg, Jacqueline Ellsworth and her partner, Sherry Samora, of North East, and Brenda Retherford and her husband, Terry, of Loma, CO; nine grandchildren, Hope, Doug, Davyn, Trenton, Ryan, Corrine, Ashley, Jena, and Kayla; 19 great grandchildren; three sisters in law, Laura Burch of Clymer, NY, Pamela Galeski of North East, and Helen Simmers of Erie; her dear friend, Markay Ratza of Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd. , on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services there at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Lowville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
