Obituary for Roberta I. (Burkett) McKee GREENFIELD – Roberta Imogene (Burkett) McKee, age 93, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Morristown Manor. She was born on July 16, 1925 in Bradford, AR as the daughter of Cletus Henry “Pepper” and Ora Lee (Steed) Burkett. In 1945 she graduated from Bradford High School and married James O.D. McKee on September 4, 1948 in Bradford, AR.

She worked in the cafeteria at Maxwell Middle School for 21 years. Roberta enjoyed crocheting and was an avid Pacers and IU basketball fan. She most of all loved spending time with her family.

Roberta is survived by her son, Robert W. “Bob” (Kathy) McKee of Palmetto, FL; daughter-in-law, Margaret “Mimi” McKee of Greenfield; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeff, Brian, James, Sarah, Kyle, Webb, David, Heather, and Angie; and 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-granddaughters; and one great-great-grandson on the way; and sister, Wanda Fae (Bud) Pearce of Bradford, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Ora Burkett; husband, James McKee; and son, James “Mick” McKee. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy.

40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made by mail to Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen, 202 E Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140 or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
