Obituary of Roberta Burns Roberta Ann Burns, fondly known as “Bobbie,” passed away in The Dalles, Oregon on December 8, 2018 at the age of 81. She was born in Vancouver, Washington to Harriet (Williams) and Oliver Lane on September 2, 1937. When she was 11 years old, Bobbie moved to Glenwood, Washington and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1955.

She married Tommy Burns at the Community Church in Glenwood on August 26, 1955 and the couple made their home in Glenwood for many years. Bobbie was a member of the Women’s Club and was a 4-H leader in sewing and ceramics. She loved to keep things organized and chasing her family around.

Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband Tommy Burns of The Dalles; children and their spouses Bernice (Michael) McClenahen of Gresham, Oregon, Sandy Murphy of Gresham, Phillip (Kim) Burns of Klickitat, Washington, Robin (Bob) Austin of Maupin, Oregon and Diana (Oop) Burgin of Glenwood; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and eight sisters. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
