Rocco Lombardozzi June 26, 1933 – February 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Rocco passed away on Wednesday Feb. 6 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett after battling many ongoing illnesses. Born and raised in Chelsea he was a beloved son of the late Frederick J. and Stella K. (Uminski) Lombardozzi.

Rocco attended local school and was graduated from Chelsea High School. He later enlisted in the US army serving honorably during the Korean Conflict. He was discharged at the rank of corporal and returned to Chelsea.

He married Veronica (Kozlowski) and together raised their family of three in Chelsea. He has been residing in No. Chelmsford for the past 3 years and recently celebrated his 61st wedding anniversary.

Rocco worked as a Warehouseman for SS Pierce in Boston and Kraft Foods in Peabody. A former parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church where he was a longtime member of the St. Stan’s Choir. He was also a member of the PAV Chelsea Post 13, St. Andrews BBC and Teamsters Local 25.

He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Veronica B. “Ronnie” (Kozlowski) Lombardozzi. Devoted father of Felicia Lombardozzi of Chelsea, Stephen Lombardozzi and his wife Darlene of Lancaster and Karen Lombardozzi of Chelsea. Cherished grandfather of Stephen, Ryan, Katie and Matthew Lombardozzi.

Dear brother and brother in law of the late Carole and Chester Pawlak, the late Richard J. Lombardozzi, Sr. survived by his wife Irene Lombardozzi of Chelsea. Also survived by his aunt Laura Kwiatkowski, uncle Alfred Uminski, several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins and extended family members. ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Sunday from 2 – 6 P.M. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend.

Funeral from the Welsh Funeral Home on Monday February 11, at 9:00 A.M. Followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 670 Washington Ave, Revere at 10:00 A.M. Services will conclude with committal prayers at Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, Everett. Funeral home fully handicap accessible, ample parking opposite funeral home.
