Ronald Avery Speers May 16, 1937 – January 27, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Ronald Avery Speers, 82, of Connersville, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at his home in Connersville. He was born on April 16, 1937 to the late Orbin Speers and Helen Manis Speers in Knoxville, Tennessee. Ronald had worked at Roots Blowers for several years then went to work for Mac Machine and Metal where he retired after 23 years.

Ronald was a member of the N.R.A. In his leisure time he enjoyed going to the shooting range and going hunting and fishing. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family. Ronald is survived by a longtime companion, Georgia Klein; three sons, Warren (Synthia) Speers, Darryl (Angela) Speers and Brian (Michele) Speers; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a nephew, Arthur Johns; and a niece Lori Barger.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Johns. Visitation for Ronald will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th St. Connersville, Indiana 47331. The funeral service will be on Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Ronnie Russell of PTC Ministries officiating.
