Ronald C. Wolff, 85, of South Lyon, Michigan died May 28, 2019 at 4:34 a.m. in Royal Oak, Michigan surrounded by his family. Born in Detroit and raised in Hamtramck, Ronald graduated high school from St. Florian and enlisted in the Navy in 1956. He went on to become Chief Petty Officer of the USS New Jersey (BB-62) and left the Navy in 1956 and began a career in banking and settled in information technology.

Ronald met the love of his life on a blind date in 1957 and married Joan Bloedel at Good Counsel Catholic Church in 1958. His life was full of amazing storytelling, close family, friends and rooting avidly for Michigan sports teams while pursuing his quest for the perfect martini (“just wave the vermouth over the glass”). Ron is survived by three wonderful children, Brian (Kathryn), Paul and Linda Leve (Sam), his two granddaughters, Elizabeth Haberkorn (David) and Jennifer (Drew), great grandson, Wesley and great granddaughter, Elaine.

Visitation will take place Thursday, May 30th, from 3-8:00 pm at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road (4 blocks E. of Woodward), Royal Oak, MI 48067. A funeral vigil will be held at 7:00 pm that evening at the funeral home.

The funeral will be Friday, May 31st, Instate 10:00 am until the time of Mass 10:30 am at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica, 2100 W. 12 Mile Road, Royal Oak, MI 48073. In a private ceremony, Ron will be interred at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mount Elliott St., Detroit, MI 48207.
