Gammon, Eva Pearl, age 97, May 18, 2019 Beloved wife of the late Parnell. Loving mother of James Gammon and the late Judith Gammon. Also survived by four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Sister of John Miklia. Predeceased by six siblings. Eva was born July 4, 1921, in Detroit, the daughter of the late Gabriel and Anna (nee Petroy) Miklia.

She attended George Washington School, Cleveland Intermediate School, and graduated from Pershing High School. After her children were older, she joined the workforce at several area department stores, including JCPenney, Hudson’s, and Sears. In her free time, Eva enjoyed Bible study, sewing, crossword puzzles, and going shopping.

She previously lived in Detroit and Madison Heights, and in 1977, moved to Troy. A graveside service will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eva’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
