Ron Brotzge, age 75, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in his home in Louisville, KY. He was born August 24, 1943 to Antony and Helen (Richy) Brotzge. Ron graduated from Shawnee High School and went on to attend the University of Louisville getting his bachelor’s degree.

Ron spent nearly his entire career with Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company holding various positions in R&D, Quality and most notably Sensory testing domestically and internationally. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen (Lawrence); two sons, Brad Brotzge and Brian Brown and three grandchildren by Brian & wife Carla (Sarah, Logan and Devon). Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville, KY 40243.

Funeral service at Rattermans at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery for family members. Expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Ron to the donor’s charity of choice.
